Opening Friday will from now on be called Green Friday down on the farm! So many people told us they were busy and always missed the festival and our vendors are all about being at the farm so its the best of both worlds. We have had so many wonderful vendors wanting to be a part of the farm festivities that we have expanded our availability to visit our vendors to two weekends. Two weekends for crafts and artisans to share their wares. The Atkins Group team is the root of the ideas that come to life on the farm, particularly Vice President Farms, Jim Goss, and the intern, Shannon Flavin, who plant and prepare the sunflower maze. This year we anticipate a great season with some really beautiful trees that have grown all year in the field as well as some lovely pre cut trees ready to hop onto the hood of your vehicle. After the first week or so in August, blooms will begin their wilting process.Ĭlearview Farm was developed by The Atkins Group as a space for the community to visit, explore, experience, and learn about agriculture. Check the field map for exact locations!īlooms are expected to be going through the beginning of August. Flax produces beautiful dainty blue blooms and safflower is a thistle-like plant producing orange blooms. We encourage you to stop at these signs and explore other crops firsthand during your trip to the sunflowers! Particular crops of interest may be flax and safflower, which are both located just to the north of the sunflower maze. There is educational signage at each of our crops around the farm including a description of the crop and a QR code leading you to more information. You may also visit the “For Kids” tab on our website for printable activities and online resources, and take a look at our informational Sunflower page for fun facts and a video. Turn left onto “Interstate 55” and you’ll see it! There is a face cutout located in the maze that your kids may enjoy! To find it, head straight into the sunflower maze on “Interstate 72”. Our in-field walking paths may be difficult for handicap access due to farm field conditions. There are miles of wide, paved sidewalks that border most of our fields that are accessible from various entry points along the street. There are no permanent restroom facilities available, but there are two porta-potties located near the sunflower field on the east side of Legacy Avenue. Includes live music by Kolten Taylor, Piato To Go, Crowridge Farm ice cream, and the sunflower maze.Sunrise – Wednesday, August 3rd 5:45-6:30am.Please see our Facebook for specific event details and how to register.
